The new WR AC/DC EMU with an air-conditioned motorman cab. This EMU also has the red and white LED marker lamps. The flowers on the front of the EMU indicate that this must be one of the initial runs. Elphinstone Road, Feb 2004. By Vivek Manvi.
Whatever is on top of the cab - AC unit or otherwise - looks dangerously close to the wires!! What about low clearances around FoBs/RoBs?

is the entire EMU Airconditioned, or only the motorman's cab?

In addition to the AC / DC feature, another unique point is that it has old style couplers. This means in case of power failure it can be attached to a conventional Diesel Locomotive and pulled to a better point.

Pardon me and no offense to anyone - it looks dumb and toothless. My opinion anyway.

The A/C unit can be seen on the roof of the EMU.
