Vacuum brakes only. Rebuilt with MaK engine. In service [December 2003]
ZDM 2R 133 and ZDM 4A 207 waiting at Motibagh Yard to begin the day's work. Then Railway Minister Nitish Kumar was to flag off a special NG Steam run later that day. Nagpur, December 2002.
These photos were again taken in 1909 near Coimbatore on South Indian Railways. Another interesting way of getting the goods train and the passenger train into the station as described in caption under photo 1 which says "A mixed train goods and passengers finds the bank up to Coimbatore too steep, so the passengers are left behind, while the engine No. 133 slowly and with the greatest difficulty drags the 12 goods vehicles into the station a mile away. It later went back for the stranded passengers." I wonder why the preference to the goods over the passengers?
